Dr. Allen is an outstanding doctor that goes above and beyond for his patients! I could not recommend him enough, especially for anyone pursuing a SODA. After 2 years of dealing with the FAA and going through the process of earning a SODA, he took the time to fully understand my situation and advocate on my behalf. In all honesty he probably saved me an additional year of back-and-forth with the FAA! He genuinely cares for his patients, is communicative and professional. Dr. Allen is my absolute go-to and I would suggest to anyone looking for an AME, especially if you have a special med circumstance, he is worth traveling to.

Dr. Allen is nothing short of incredible ! I have Type 2 diabetes and Dr. Allen walked me through the process of getting my Class 3 special issuance medical cleared through the FAA. He knew exactly what the FAA was looking for as far as Documents to provide to satisfy the requirements. He truly wants to get people behind the controls of an aircraft to experience the joy of safe aircraft flight and will do everything in his power to assist you to do so. He and his office staff are beyond reproach. Exemplary !!

This doc is an active GA pilot, and he understands the concerns of pilots. He is thorough, and explains any potential issues clearly and concisely. You won't find a better AME for an FAA Medical or a doctor who understands Basic Med more than Dr. Allen. I recommend him to all my pilot friends.
